Saw the musical last night it was amazing very loud tho so it was hard to follow the full story if you never watched the movie or read the book you only get bits and pieces

Quast just simple captured the correct emotions portrayed by the lyrics. Russell Crowe is a great actor and he portrayed Javert decently, this act is just not his strongest suit. Javert is supposed to be a hardcore law enforcer, the epitome of order, a man who stands firm in his principles no matter the cost, hence, the grandiose statements.

I watched the movie last night for the 1st time, and promptly fell in love with this song. The music from the movie is excellent, especially the more complicated duo, trio songs. But this particular song just spoke to me. And Russell does a great job with it. Wish now I hadn't waited so long to see the movie.
